October 1 – Release date for The Case of the Left-hand Trombone! Books now available! Here on Amazon or at Wilbur The City Pig’s website . Contact John Scheyd at Pelican Publishing for sales.

November 8 – Kathleen Schrenk and Wilbur the City Pig will appear on WYES-TV Steppin’ Out with Peggy Scott Laborde at 7:30PM and 11:30PM.

November 9 Wilbur the City Pig (Walter in the book!) will sign books along with the illustrator, Vernon Smith, and Kathleen Schrenk, the author, at Peaches Records and Tapes, 4318 Magazine St., New Orleans, 1:30 to 3:30. Treats and activities for kids!

November 14 – Wilbur the City Pig and Kathleen Schrenk will be at Terranova’s Supermarket, 3308 Esplanade Ave. NOLA 70119 from 4:15 – 5:15 in the afternoon. Books for sale or bring one you already bought. Wilbur and the author will be happy to sign your copy.

November 16 – Tune in to WTUL 91.5FM for story time with DJ Liz at 9AM. Find out why the author wrote a story about a pot-bellied pig detective, and hear a reading from The Case of the Left-hand Trombone.

December 6 – Presentation at Audubon Charter School Library, 1:30 – 2:30

December 6 – Join Wilbur the City Pig and Kathleen Schrenk at Swirl Wine Bar for piggy kisses, book signing, and Friday Free for All wine tasting. Book signing begins at 5:30PM and the wine tasting is from 6PM-8PM.

December 9 – Join Kathleen Schrenk at 6:30 in City Park’s beautifully renovated Storyland at New Orleans City Park for story time at Celebration in the Oaks. Books sales and activities will follow a reading from The Case of the Left-hand Trombone.

December 14 – Sip and Shop and meet the author of The Case of the Left-hand Trombone at Tubby and Coo’s Mid-City Book Shop, 631 N. Carrollton Ave., 1:00 – 3:00. In addition to children’s books, the shop carries sci-fi, fantasy, graphic novels and board games. The perfect local stop for holiday shopping!

December 21 – Wilbur the City Pig and Kathleen Schrenk will be at Barnes and Noble in Metairie from 10:AM – 11:30AM. Signed books are great stocking-stuffers, and you might receive some piggy kisses from Wilbur, aka Walter, in The Case of the Left-hand Trombone.
